Lovely! I wish I could grow this species. I've sent too many of them to an early death.

I have to agree John, it's an excellent one! What's all the white stuff on the top of the media?

It's still in the original medium that it came in. However, it had grown some weeds that I removed, along with a layer of mix. So, I topped it off with my mix which consists of 2 parts shreaded white florist's foam and 1 part coconut husk chips. The foam is absorbant and very "stiff"/crunchy.....it's the type that a florist would use to fill a clear vase to stabilize flower stems. Even though it is absorbant, it does drain really well and I find that the random, rough shapes of the pieces open up a mix and keep it "fluffy".

Very nice indeed. So where did this 'good one' come from?

I bought it from Papheteer (a member on this forum), when he was selling his collection before doing a lot of travelling. This plant doesn't have a nursery tag in it; but, a lot of his stuff does and he seemed to like to buy from quality producers like Sam (Orchid Inn).
