Lower light, high humidity and dry out in December-January for one month.

The last couple I had between my calosums, mastersianum, volunteanum, and sangii, which have been growing and flowering well.

Aside from the seasonal drying out part, is the rest pretty much the same?

I would say yes. However, I give the curtisii a slight more sun during the growing season. The sangii, volunteanum I give heavy shade.
