Paph. venustum fma. albescens

A bit of a discussion about the forma/variety with this plant last year. It retained the black warts while the rest of the flower seems like albino including the leaves. (No red pigments) So calling it an albescens.

Very nice, well grown plant. I like the flower, it has lots of these dark spots which make it quite unique. Others I've seen just have very few of these spots.

The only thing I know and can tell you is where it originates and clonal name. Orchid Inn and 'Green Wide Dorsal' but he uses that clonal name on his colored venustum too. Bought it as a division.

I am not sure what a selfing will generate. Maybe a mix of albino and albescens. Wouldn't be surprise also if a full colored one comes out of it.

You must have the key to grow venustum. Definitely!!
