Paph William Stirling = (Juliet x Lucifer) An old complex with fairrieanum in the background on both sides.

Well, fairrieanum shows in the petals but doesn't dominate the whole flower. Quite nice.
Ross, ever thought of opening an Orchid Museum ???

Nah! I can go broke easily enough just being an orchid grower. :poke:

Unfortunately, the dorsals curled forward on this blooming, probably as a result of repotting. The plant was a multi growth plant with 5 spikes, but the media was breaking down and I had to repot. I now have three divisions.

The fairrieanum is a ways back on both sides, being a grandparent of Lucifer and great grandparent of Juliet.

I picked up a book on ebay - Paph Hybrids, Their Parents & Progency as Registered from 1869-
by William Wilson, Penn Valley Orchids
anyway, this is truly a complex, it has a loong pedigree & as Ross indicated the unknown by unknown is Shogun but the rest goes back to insigne, villosum, boxalli, spice, fairrie, exul & bellatulum shows up once!

Well I don't know about all this pedigree stuff, I just like what it is today and I think it's "AWESOME", thanks Ross.... Jim.
