Paphiopedilum Angela

Paphiopedilum Angela is a primary hybrid of Paph. fairrieanum x Paph. niveum, registered in 1910. Its a somewhat miniature Paph, with flowers about 7.5cm (3 inches) across, produced on an upright stem above a plant with a 20cm (8 inch) leafspan. This one came from Klehm Growers about 1992.

I've yet to see an ugly Angela. I'd say this one is pretty typical. It's a nice, consistant cross. I had the pleasure of seeing one awarded one, I believe owned by Gold Country. Mine hasn't bloomed in a while. I'd better get it on my punishment schedule.

I agree w/ the first statement but this isn't typical of most that I've seen. Maybe the Cali ones are shy to show there spots and stripes. oke:

Oooooohhhhh. Not crap but I've seen a lot that are darker and more heavily striped.
