Paphiopedilum Karl Ploberger

Paphiopedilum Karl Ploberger (Paphiopedilum hangianum x bellatulum).. first time blooming... and so far not exactly the best Paphiopedilum Karl Ploberger I have seen (not even average ) I really hope it improves shape as the plant matures... This one in particular also inherited the VERY weak stem of bellatulum... The flower is quite large (can be larger in this cross): 13 cm NS

The pouch is a strong hangianum influence too. I think it looks super!

Guys, thanks for the comments.... but in the photo it looks nicer than what it is.. the colour is very nice (even with the black line on the right petal)... but then the right petal is significantly larger than the left one; the dorsal has agood size, but is almost horizontal... that all gives a very weird look to the plant...

Might need some support but at least it has some stem length so the bloom doesn't sit on the rim of the pot! I'd give it a second blooming!.
