Looks more red-orange on my monitor, which may be out of adjustment. Here's a photo of our Phrag. besseae 'Dreamsicle' which on my monitor is peach colored for comparison....

It's quite lovely, but looks exactly like my 'Balance' x Curves' and 'Peach Cobbler' x 'Colossal Peach'. I don't
think the peach color came through with any of these
OZ crosses that I've seen.

Tom's photo is more like the peach color I imagined before they
actually bloomed. That color is unusual and just about perfect. Tom,
would you like to trade???

After seeing Tom's I'd agree mine is definitely closer to the red/orange . This is the same peach cobbler x colossal peach cross Abax referenced.

Isn't the temperature during bud development going to change the besseae color quite a bit? I don't currently have a blooming size besseae (only a tetraploid seedling) but with multiple plants of a tetraploid Don Wimber I can change the color of the blooms from fairly dark orange/red to a peach color with temperature. I get the mostly peach color with warmer temperatures. I only have one clone of Jason Fischer (several plants of it) and temperature varies the depth of the red but it always stays pretty red. I can also vary the color of one of Tom's Fox Valley Fire Balls with temperature.

Jason, we've been hoodoo'ed! Getting specific about color,
I think what we have is a Chinese Red which is a red with
a slight orange tint. My greenhouse temps. never go below
60F and can get quite warm if/when there's any sun. How that relates to color shift is a mystery to me. I still
think that 'Peach Cobbler' x 'Colossal Peach' is a lovely
flower, but not anywhere near a peach color. I'm sure
Jason and I have very different growing conditions, however, the flowers are exactly alike.

Actually, that is a very nice regular color. Where did you buy this one, offered as peach?
I'll post a new thread with some nice peaches.
