peach ice cream recipe?

anyone have a super peach ice cream recipe they'd share with me, please?
(if i'm gonna make it, i need it within four hours, then i'm off to pick peaches...)
it's for one of them thar quart and a half sized machines.

You know...um...if you're picking them today, they might not be ripe enough to use in ice cream without cooking.

I'm sure you knew that though.

yup. i was thinkin' i'd be picking up the ones that have actually already fallen off the trees and cleaning them up, picking out bugs, etc...

recipes

I find both allrecipe.com and epicurious.com have good recipes, and comments from people who have tried them.
Also, I have recently learned that it is important not to refrigerate peaches, as they become mealy if you do. Better to leave them on the counter like tomatoes if you want best flavor and texture.

I remembered an article on an artisan ice cream maker. Her ice cream is the rage in Columbus....and has quite a following. There isn't a recipe for peach ice cream, but you may find some other recipes worth trying. You can follow the link to the food and wine story with the recipes.
