I got a division of this one from OZ about a year ago. It's supposed to be more likely to clump than a normal besseae. I haven't had it long enough to see if that happens under my conditions. It's not the biggest at NS=7 cm, but great form and color.

As the source, a few points.
--this one tends to clump. Some of our best besseae grow like trees, so I would say that the relatively short inter-growth distance is illustrated in this picture ("tree" besseae have been discussed at length on this board, I think)
--there has been much discussion about how besseae clumping is affected. It appears to be strongly influenced by genetics and environment
--I did cross this exact one to another clumper, so hopefully we get more compact plants
--the plant looks good. The new growth is strong. Watering besseae every day is a good approach with clean water.

Thanks for the info! When I got this division from you the stolon had already started growing out. I'm excited to see if the stolon for the next growth stays short. I water this every day with R/O water to keep the moss around the base of the new growth damp. It has rooted well.
