Awarded plant. Very vigorous and a nice shape - both active spikes are branching. Happier with this one than I thought I'd be.

One of my favourite hybrids! I love soft pink tones...and your inflorescence is so cute and lovely!
I have some flasks of andreettae x pearcei that are developing very quickly... I would expect something similar to Carol Kancer but whiter...

Very nice. I have a Carol Kanzer that I bought about 8 years ago as a multigrowth, mature plant. However, it's never flowered for me. Any hints?

What is the award of your plant?

Bronze/CSA.

I got this plant this year in spike, so I don't have a lot to offer in terms of what to trigger it.

8 years with mature growth, no spike, sounds a bit troubling. You are more patient than I am.

Can you post a picture of yours? How much are you currently fertilizing it? How much light? How wet are you keeping it and what medium is it in now? Do you use seaweed?

Russell, did yours come from Zephyrus? Mine did. John D had lots of them. I wonder if it was a giant plant that had been broken up and it's just one of those "non-blooming" kind!

The problem must come from the inheritance of the pearcei. pearcei can be quite difficult to bloom. I got some pearcei plants about three or four years ago. All the plants have been growing very nice but without a single flower spike. This year, I tried to give to one of the plants a dry rest (last September) and kept the others as usual. The first plant responded blooming in November while the others kept growing new growths but not blooming...
I would try the same with Carol Kanzer.
