A poor showing first time over a year ago, a great improvement now with 3 flowers nearly fully open and another spike with 3 further flowers just breaking. The petals are still growing at over 19 ins already.

:smitten::smitten: I just love the long petal phrags!:drool: Just gorgeous!!

Incredible display! How long does it take to flower these from flask to first blooming?

Five flowers on a spike is impressive. Great culture.

Looks more like wallisii. Can you take a photo of the flower straight on and the pouch opening with the staminode?

Where did you get it from?

My thoughts, also.
I was wondering when someone would chime in, my first thought too. Gosh what a mess this is - wallisii = warscewiczianum, now don't confuse that with warszewiczii, which is considered a ssp. of exstaminodium  and let's not forget how popowii fits into the picture and they're all forms of caudatum :crazy:

Thanks for your comments everyone. To answer your questions, I obtained the plant through a nursery in Germany and that was what was stated on the label. I tested a few plants out in CHC mixed with perlite and charcoal. I washed the CHC several times and tested for salts and have found some of the phrags have done well, others haven't like grande, nitidissimum, sorcerers apprentice etc. I am now going back to bark as most of my paphs have suffered badly. I thought this debate may come up so would appreciate any comments as to why it may NOT be caudatum. I have attached a few photos as best I can.
