Phrag schlimii x manzurii (Holotype). Sorry the crappy cell phone picture. I will take a better one tomorrow.

Oh Dot, I have two of these I think. Both are still four
or five leaf seedlings, but coming along well. I'm pleased
to see the flower. It's quite lovely and I hope fragrant.

Ted, as you can see the only difference is the greenish DS and petals and the rounder pouch. The plant is much more vigorous also. BUT... color should not be used to split species so... IMHO Colombianum could be only a nice schlimii.

Yes, this clone is so nice. Some other interesting plants of the "schlimii" group are starting to spike :wink:.
Phrag anguloi is quite different, at least in the populations where it has been found so far... but if intermediate members start to appear in new areas like it is happening with manzurii it would be considered as a var or subsp.
So far I do not have doubts about the anguloi status as true species... but DNA analysis and exploration of new areas will have the last word.
