Hello,

I've been lusting after a good Don Wimber (Eric Young x besseae) for a while now and finally bought this one from Chuck Acker this past October. I'm quite happy with the result.

This plant matured a new growth and bloomed again in 8 months. This growth is bigger and stronger than the last one which resulted in a bigger, better bloom. Unfortunately the color's a bit washed out in the photo. It's much more intense in person.

That's a great Don Wimber, one of my favourites. As someone once said, it looked the way they had initially hoped Eric Young would turn out. But it needed that extras besseae input to form this fabulous cross.

The colour is washed out a bit in this photo because of the bright background.

Now with 3 open blooms!

They're all on the main spike. There's also a branch with a bud that's a few days from opening but I knew if I waited to take the pic the initial bloom might fall.

I've never had a Phrag with so many blooms open at once. The most I've ever had is 2 and that's usually short-lived. This just contributes to Don Wimber being my most favorite Phrag.
