The second bud is about to open at 4cm long. This is a big bud compared to the plant and the pot, which will be smaller than the flower.

The flower has very heavy substance and holds itself well. The first one lasted for about three weeks. There were two other buds coming up behind. I cut them off for fear the plant might flower to death. A hard decision to make.

Cardinale x Barbara LeAnn. I posted it before but this second bud is much bigger than the first and is still growing. 4.5 cm long this morning.

Actually, the flower appears to be malformed. There is no synsepal and the dorsal is huge. Both petals may not be as wide as in the first flower. Oh! Well!
