Unlike the last phrag photo I posted (fradulent kovachii), to paraphrase Seinfeld, this one "is real and it's spectacular
From an Orchid Inn cross (besseae 'OZ Selected' x kovachii 'Full Moon'). NS only 11.1 but it's a first bloom seedling. Only defect I see is the imperfect lower petal margin. Flash always makes the color a tad darker but it is a saturated coral-red. I have seen a few other pics of this pairing that look similar. The petals are quite thick, so I have to wonder if perhaps the besseae was 4N. I seem to recall other Fritz made with 4N red besseae came out much darker than the commonly seen pink Fritz...

And don't worry, as a man who usually gets his pound of flesh, I have taken steps so that the vendor I got those kovachii from will find it very difficult to sell more via ebay.
