Posted this one a year or so ago. But its grown well and starting another good round of flowering.

This is a good size plant and the spike is about 2' tall at the flower.

Holding 2 blooms and starting to branch

It's nice when you have 2 blooms holding on a sequential phrag spike, but when I gotta around to take the pic I noticed I'm also getting a branch from a lower bract!

Not in the photo, but another growth is also spiking.

I hope you'll self this, Rick. I think this is a very good flower -- some I've seen didn't have such twisty petals, which I think is a characteristic of this species. And hirtzii is hard to come by!

I selfed it last year and I believe TM has quite a few babies coming up from this.

Hummm... interesting little species there Rick. Eron gave me a division of his awhile back. I'm growing it S/H and its loving it but no blooms yet. I'm curious if it will be curly as well.

Even though its still in the original bark mix, I have this one in a tray of water. This one is considerably bigger in plant habit than pearcei or amazonica/richteri with good size flowers too.

Once it starts blooming you'll love it Rick
