First flowering.

Very nice color and photo is great! You can see all the little fuzzy hairs on it

This is the original photo I started from. The camera was in Auto mode. No flash. I only increased the brightness and tweaked the sharpness button. The photo was taken in early morning light. If I did anything wrong, you tell me! And so far as I can tell, the flower looks the same. I also looked at other pictures of Inca Fire and didn't find anything out of whack with mine.

I might have to visit for some culture education. You have been on fire this year with the blooms.

not every monitor is equal...

Clark! You will be welcomed any time. And this will give me a very good reason to clean up the house. :rollhappy:

I can't use aussie gold all the way through like Mike, because I grow with the pots 1/4 in water but he seems to have the culture down, and then living down the road from JP Faust!... :p

My culture is very similar to semi-hydro with the difference that I use Aussie Gold instead of clay pebbles. My biggest plants of paphs and phrags are grown in pots that have a reserve of water at the bottom. (And you'll be welcomed too if you decide to pay a visit, and this applies to everyone on this forum.) ;)

Nothing wrong with your photo, Michel. I probably wasn't very clear. What I was trying to say was that the Inca Fire's I've seen in person weren't a very good red -- kind of washed out and dull. If I'd seen one like this, I'd have one now. I don't.
