Hi Ed, this was a rare opportunity. My friend Malcolm knew that Sue was shutting down her greenhouse after growing phrags for the last 30 years or so. He also knew she had many fine specimens, and reckoned I'd be interested. Reasonably priced too.
The main things with the photography are (1) the black cloth; (2) the tripod; and (3) playing around with the lighting to get it to be just about right. The tripod means you can take long exposures and not worry, as long as you don't breathe during the shot... But I try my best to get the best possible shot that the camera will permit, regard that as a good challenge.
