Been waiting for this one to bloom for some time, was hoping for a solid yellow, but not too bad :) Not the greatest shot but I was in a hurry

I love the soft yellow and pink on this hybrid.

A couple years ago, I put mine in a show. It was pulled for judging, but one of the judges rejected it on the grounds that it should either be yellow or pink, but not both! :confused::mad::(:fight:

Really... That seems harsh - perhaps short sighted. I have a copy of Marilyn Ledoux's awarded plant and it has red tints. So did the plant that I got from OZ some years back.
 
I have several Phrags with soft color transitions. I think they are unique and beautiful -- I really don't care about what this judge said. She is not a slipper grower, and especially not a Phrag grower. Unfortunately, her voice had the say that day. But there will be other shows/judgings...
