These beauties are starting to flood the market, but that's a good thing. The cross is longifolium 'Black as Night' x dalessandroi.

This is a first bloomed seedling. Honestly, the form/shape is crap, the petals don't seem to unfurl entirely. But I did not buy this for the shape. I bought this for the absolutely stunning color. These photos do not do this plant justice. It's velvety, rich, and vibrant. Its lip color is like a brighter, more orange version of the color you'd get from Jason Fischer. So, I can look past the flaws. I really love the contrast between the reds and yellows. Plus, this is a fairly compact grower (so far), and the spike has a branch with a bud popping out.

I think the quality of the flower will get better as they all pretty much look
the same and they are all awesome!! Yours is not different!
By the way, beautiful foliage you got on your plants. :)

If you look on the paph threads " show us what you've killed" I have olaced a pic of my Nicholle Tower which is alas no more. Hope yours will grow as nice as this one.
