I would agree. The synsepal is very much unlike the pearcei I've seen.
 
How big are the leaves?

Those "high cheek bones" at first reminded me of green hornet (pearcei X longifolium). But it has the normal throat spotting of a pearcei so most likely not that. Especially if the plant is still med/small in stature.

If the leaves are good size it may be richteri.


I've seen a fair amount of structural variation from flower to flower on some of my pearcei, but those are about the biggest "cheek bones" I've seen.
 
What if there is natural variation within a species?

I'd think Phragmipedium richteri if it is something else, but I am not particularly familiar with these
