How big is the Plant?

The plant is maybe 14-16 inches across and 10 -12 inches tall. The flower spike is much taller

Yes it does. Its close to 2ft with branching coming out now.

You can certainly see some reasons people liked it for breeding, especially prior to besseae's discovery!

Pouch reminds me of a selenipedium.
