Love the flower but I can't see any Don Wimber in it. Summer Fire is Phrag. lindleyanum x klotzscheanum

even not lindleyanum...
maybe can be Phrag Alien Syndrome x longifolium...

interesting,I flowered one months ago and is different than that one, mine is not as dark. I also wonder what happened to the Don Wimber. It is a mystery. I made the cross and have a couple more getting ready to flower so will see what they look like

It's possible the flower fertilized itself before you fertilized it with the Don Wimber. Or the Don Wimber didn't take at all and the Summer Fire cloned itself. Anyway, like I said, I like it like this. I especially think the pouch is beautiful.:)

I do like this a lot; but, it doesn't look at all like Summer Fire x Don Wimber....or, even pure Summer Fire. I'm afraid that what you've got is a beautiful NoID.....a complex hybrid that will be next to impossible to accurately identify.

I'll call it George, for my favorite TV character in ''Dead Like Me''.:D

That was my thought.

It seems like Summer Fire is quite a variable flower, judging from a google search. But I agree that Don Wimber is absent in this.

I was juding it from the single photo of Summer Fire found on PhragWeb. That photo looks like it's "bang on" accurate and it looks NOTHING like this flower.
