Not sure, might be because it is grown under a Lychee tree, which will be trimmed back in a few months after it bears fruit. Lychee tree has some mites, so that could be it...

I got it from Kai Quintal of Quintal farms on the Big Island of Hawaii. I know he has worked with and sold to many well known Paph and Phrag growers, Glen Decker, Sam Tsui, Dennis D'alesandro, and many more. I know he has collected the best of the best and uses only his plants for breeding. If you have purchased plants from the top Paph/Phrag growers in the US chances are you have a plant or two that were grown by Kai...
