Always a winner when you can hold on to so many blooms at once nice color too

Super hybrid. I really like all of the green leafy material in background. It adds to the beauty of the flowers.

Nice! How tall are those spikes?

My spike got over 5' tall and I had to buy a stake intended as a snow marker. It outgrew any orchid stake I had. I wish I had counted the blooms because it seemed to bloom forever.

I wish those buggers didn't grow so tall. Today I'm going to cut off the tallest spike on my 'Living Fire' even though it is still producing more buds. After a few months the stalk starts to look like a spindly tree sapling. My 'Sergent Eric' isn't far behind.

I love phrags but so many of them stay nice size as plants...... until they start to bloom. I grow mine in Prime Agra under HID lights but move them, when they start to bloom, into my living room in front of a sliding door with lots of light. I tried tying one spike onto my curtain rod but it needed more upright support.

I have started buying mini orchids like sarc and neo hybrids. They are more manageable. Marilyn
