The first time I have ever flowered a Phrag and I am really happy with it. There is a second bud developing right behind the flower, I think I can finally say I grow these.......

Nice! Very interesting and different, it is the first time I'm seeing synsepal as big as that on this cross... Do you have parentage information on your tag?

Not necessarily it could be what it is, I’m just curious and try to understand the transmission of characters in the Phragmipedium hybridization. For me it is unusual to see synsepal as large as this one, usually it is a characteristic more often seen in the boissierianum and vittatum hybrids...
Just wondering witch variety of longifolium or pearcei were used in this cross.
Sometimes with a clonal name I'm getting a good idea of the source...
Just wondering because pearcei was often confuse with richterii who is a natural hybrid between boissierianum and pearceii...
