The second flower opened this Sunday and is same color the first one. Temperature is normal for our Spring time here.

I just can't help but think this plant is genetically off a bit. The pouch doesn't seem to close around the column nor does the ovary elongate correctly.

But nice colored variant.

The flower is great and interesting. But can you tell us (me) how you grow your klotzscheanum? What mix you use, how wet, how much light, is it collected or seed grown?

The plant is grown at ground level and as I live in Brazil the light level is high as it is in the native habitat. Potting material is common sand very well washed. I let living moss grown as a top cover in the pot. There is always a deep plastic dish filled with water all the time. Every two days a flush in this water is made. I use only organic fertilizer .
The pot is plastic and has 30 cm diameter.
It also get rain water. No pesticide is used.
Hope could helped, any other question feel free to ask.

That may not be genetic...could be cultural. It will take some repeat bloomings to find out. Still, a very interesting bloom.
