Phragmipedium Patti MacHale and Alice

Here are two different crosses I'd made with the same sargentianum
I think it is interesting to see the difference betwen them....
At left Patti MacHale (pearcei x sargentianum)
and at right Alice (richterii x sargentianum)

Hmmmm...I think I like the one on the left...then I like that big pouch
on the right...but the left has twisty-er petals...

Yes! Alice's roots, leaves and scape are much bigger and stronger. The scape doesn't need support neither. And as you can see the photo it's first flower open over the 7th one on the Patti MacHale... ( they are in the same size pot and on the same table for the photo)
Should be very high this year!
