My Phragmipedium pearcei var. ecuadorense is flowering, although only with one flower. Hopefully many more when all the new shoots start to mature.

Grown in pure fresh sphagnum (live when potted up), constantly moist/wet. I grow this plant warm which seems to work. Otherwise this species seems to like it more to the intermediate.

According to a comment on another forum this is probably not var. ecuadorense. Apparently the staminoid shield should be smaller and the flower a bit browner for it to be a var. ecuadorense. I will probably change the label to just Phrag. pearcei.
