Nice flower, but Red Sky should show some more sargentianum characters because it is the dominant specie in this cross (speckling in the pouch, rounder petals.. ) None here ???

Well... Jean-Pierre was right. It is not Red Sky. The seller told me it is Belle Hougue Point. He will send me the true Red Sky in Summer.

But I like it a lot, even if it is not Red Sky!

I'll call this a "branch thread", rather than "hijack", but does the cross of a 2N and 4N necessarily result in 3N offspring, or will we see a mix of 2N, 3N, and even 4N?

Good 'branch', Ray. I'd always figured a 2N x 4N would give 3N, but Mom Nature and I do different math lots of times. Maybe Robert Q from OL will chime in?
