I'll call this a "branch thread", rather than "hijack", but does the cross of a 2N and 4N necessarily result in 3N offspring, or will we see a mix of 2N, 3N, and even 4N?

Good 'branch', Ray. I'd always figured a 2N x 4N would give 3N, but Mom Nature and I do different math lots of times. Maybe Robert Q from OL will chime in?
