I always have Phrags in bloom, so I made a thread to show all the new blooms this May.

This Phrag giganteum was from J-P Faust's breeding. Rich color but the petals are shorter than expected, but next blooming it maybe more impressive. The plant is small.

Phrag. Ecua-bess blooms every spring. This year is its best with two spikes and one spike branching. Illustrates how a plant improves its flower count once it reaches multigrowth. The second spike had not opened yet in this photo.

Phrag. ecuadorense 'Mon Petit' was a division of one of Chuck Taylor's plants. (Thanks Chuck!!) I love the patterns inside the pouch. I cannot tell the difference between ecuadoense and pearcei other than plant size. I should take a better photo without shadows on the petals.

My Phrag Calurum is a nice lighter coloured bloom

Does giganteum dorsal normally stand up like that?
Ecua-Bess - reminds me of my EY, may not be the fanciest but a reliable, consistent bloomer!
Ecuadorense - in bloom forever, can't get tired of that one!
Calurum - gotta have a near white classic!
