Rlc. Memoria Crispin Rosales 'No. 2'

This one recently opened ----- nice and fresh in the morning sun. I don't know who added the extra bit .... ie. 'No. 2'. But that's what it says on the tag heheh.

its quite a common varietal '#2' in Oz. Not very often seen, nowdays. Worth keeping.

Is the 'No. 2' a clonal name - as in ----- do you know if this one is a mericlone?

Certainly could be a mericlone but was a good grower so could be a division of the parent plant.
I dont know who the original owner was.

Probably my favorite orchid in the collection. Been with me from the start of collecting, always vigorous grower/ bloomer.. and the fragrance is

Thanks Pete for letting me know that you grow Mem. Crispin Rosales too! Totally agree about vigorous grower! Nice strong fragrance for sure. Pretty good size flowers too. This one is sort of redemption for me. When I first started growing orchids, I lost 3 cattleya orchids. I started with catts. It was after that when I needed to really learn properly! I searched around for a while to get this one here. I don't know what clonal name my first one had though ------ that was a long long long long time ago. I also lost an L. anceps and C. bowringiana too. I have some L. anceps again now. Haven't got a bowringiana yet ------ sort of out of orchid growing space in my limited growing area!
