Are those mealybugs or Boisduval scale on the Sophronitis leaf?
Are mealies on the green Paphiopedilum on the 2 petals? Sure looks like one on each petals, upper surface out from the yellow staminode.
I would say water droplets with flash on the sophronitis, and scent glands on the green paph due to perfect symmetry of the pale hairy dots on both lower and upper ends of petals.
Wonderful plants thanks for sharing! The bougainvilleanum is rarely seen and i love the spreading in the wardii flowers! Must be fun to select there.
What confuses me a bit is, when the only thing people write about the pictures is whether or not mealybugs are visible... what's wrong with you!?
Nice photos and I’m sure most experienced growers will recognize the various species, but for the sake of any newbies it would be nice to see the names posted with the photos. Just saying.
My favorites are the Den. subuliferum and the Paph. tranlienianum alba. You don't see these often available. The Paph venustum's color is outstanding....
