Skip The Lunacy

:rollhappy: What we have here is Skip The Buss & Lunacy, both from Klehm's. Arnie quite often combines names, I couldn't resist! Sunday our orchid club meeting was at Klehm's for the launching of Ovation Orchids, Klehm bred plants are available online thru them. Arnie has also ventured into making wines so there was a winetasting as well. Skip The Buss I got as a raffle prize & then I came across this Lunacy.

Would they make a good combo? or I'm tempted to use pollen off that Sierra Bell X, what do you think?

so does that mean you think I should cross the two? They compliment each other & where one is a bit weak, the other is better, IMO.
My first thought was to put the brachy cross on the Lunacy as li'l frog said.

I don't know that it's Arnie's Ovation Orchids....with an established name like Klehm who needs another or different name!
As it's been mentioned Klehm orchids are no longer available thru HD. Two guys from IOS have been working with Arnie & it's my understanding that Ovation Orchids is their baby, an online source for Arnie's plants, so they are partnered to a degree. Check them out at ovationorchids.com.

Put the Lunacy on Skip The Buss and the Sierra Bell X on the Lunacy. Why?

STB has better form and it would be nice to see pastel reds with nice spotting. The Sierra Bell X may round out the Lunacy a bit more and hopefully the complex genetics will mean no droopy flower stems.

Bare in mind that I'm something of a lunatic and my advice must be treated with much scepticism.

:rollhappy: then maybe I should be calling it The Lunacy Buss rather than Skip The Lunacy!
I did the deed yesterday morning making both the above crosses. The only drawback to the Sierra Bell X x Lunacy was they both have short stems but the brachy is self supporting. The tag reads 'Moon Dance' AM/AOS, can anyone look it up? I'd be curious as to when it was awarded & dimensions.

Why not "Skip The Lunacy"? That does sound more reasonable.

Or! "Skip the Lunatic" which sounds more huggable.
