Here are some pictures of buds and opening flowers. These are not new pictures (from 2008 up to Spring 2010)
Paphiopedilum appletonianum hainanensis
I fell in love with that species when I saw it on a cover of a booklet from the AOS many years ago.
Paph Houghtoniae. Bought as a seedling in 1989. That Paph is a special plant for me. The grower was Laurier Nappert, who became a friend a few years ago. Unfortunatly, Laurier died last Spring.
An unknown Maudiae-type. Unfortunatly, the plant is now dying.
A brand new picture... so ugly.... the only interest of that picture is to show you the very dark color of the bud and of the foliage. Paph Schaetzchen, bought from « Le Paradis des Orchidées » last Spring.
I show you the picture of the flower (Spring 2009). The plant disliked hot summer, so the new growth is not as big as the other one. I am not sure that the flower that will open soon will be very good.
