Up!!

yes, I know a silly comic, but brought good memories as I used to work in the south of Venezuela on the top of the Tepuis before moving to Europe... exactly on the place where they landed :) (great endemic orchids are found there too!!)

Oh! I want to see that one! Those Tepuis are awesome! Do they show any carnivorous plants in the movie? I'd love to visit there sometime.

Best movie this year? I'd say Wolverine. Star Trek was good, but I was hoping for an actual prequel, not what they did, although it was pretty good.

I'm looking forward to the new Woody Allen movie...my son went to a screening, and said it was great...Larry david was there for Q&A, and he got to meet him. He told Larry that he was a folk hero to our family, and that his father regarded him as Paul Bunyon......how true!

Wolverine was really good but I felt rather exhausted after the movie. Also, if the movie has slowed down we would probably have found it quite vacuous as far are story and character exploration was profiled. It pretty much gave us what we expected.

I much prefered Startrek. It was so much better than the other movies (barring those with orginal crew). There was a strong story line, good character development and convincing acting. Leonard Nimoy's part was well played and presented. They didn't try weave a complicated explanation on how he and the young Kirk etc... come together. They just left it as a mystery which was cool (Stewart's Piccard would have agonised over it the whole length of the movie and then degenerated into quoting Shakespear or a song).

I think Nimoy had a lot more fun this time round. Maybe its because he must be pushing 90 years old or something (I'm amazed he can shuffle at such a rapid pace!), but his more humorous rendition of Spock contrasted very well with the newbie, adding to the realism of the two characters.

The movie Blindness sucked. Very boring... A good reason for why Nobel Laureate should be tossed into a volcano shortly after receiving the award.

I can't remember when I watch Bolt but that was way better than Startrek. I love cartoons and Bolt's animation was spectacular. The story line was light and watchable. Good humor, convincing seriousness. I'de watch it again.
