Hey everyone! I've been bitten by the flasking bug, so I built a small glove box and have had some moderate results to this point. I'm looking to do another round and was wondering if anyone had a little extra seeds they won't be using. I'm not really picky on what it is. I'd prefer species, but it doesn't really matter to me since I'm mostly just "playing" at this point.

Thank you and if I have success, I can offer you seedlings to compensate for the seed!

Hi Goods - Would it be possible to get some pics of your home made lab so folks like myself and others with these same yearnings could see how it's done. Thanks

Hi Newbud,

I'm out of town at the moment, but mine is basically a clear Rubbermaid tote with two holes cut into the side. I attached elbow length gloves to these holes and sealed it with a gasket similar to what you'd use for plumbing. I have all my tools in a bleach solution, sterilize my media and flasks in a pressure cooker, place everything in the tote, seal it and spray a pretty strong bleach solution through just a basic spray bottle. My "lab" is simple and not necessarily ideal, but it works ok. The key is to make sire everything is sprayed down and that you work slowly and carefully.

Yes, completely sealed. I like the ones where the top overlaps the actual tote to further prevent gaps. Once I disinfect with the bleach, I want the very minimum air exchange between the tote and the outside air. And yes, I just used the clearest tote I can find.
