greenhouse had small spider webs (probably about 30) all over the place with what appeared to be one small brownish yellow egg (or sac) in the center of each one...webs were about 4 inches across..anyone know the type of spider?
destroyed them all during watering so no pics

At our OS we saw a show of the "just add ice" orchid nursery in OH which follows the European nursery production model. HUGE, fully-automated operation. Learned they use spiders as part of their integrated pest management approach...so maybe let the next batch of eggs hatch?

dont get me wrong..i love spiders, an di think its morally wrong to kill them...but i had to water..and the webs were so fragile ..they never had a chance
