First time I have this in bloom. The plant is small so there's a lot of room for improvement I think.

Good question -- I'd have expected a lighter dorsal, also.

But I love this plant -- the color, the shape, the petals, the…everything!:smitten:

Interesting point - but P. gigantifolum has similar markings on its dorsal. So it seems to be just a progeny with a strong and dominant influence of P. gigantifolium.
