I received my Cym. ensifolium Four Seasons today from Piping Rock and
it's a beautiful, nice sized plant. It was expertly packed and arrived on
time. I'm pleased to have it and will buy a few more. The price for the
plant was very, very good. Go ahead and get that plant you've wanted
from Piping Rock.

I haven't. My general internet orchid buying is to order one plant to see
the quality, clean leaves and condition of the potting medium from a grower
and if I'm pleased, I add that vendor to a small list of growers I trust. I
don't buy from all that many growers.

Well, Mr. Potter, I thought I was giving you information you weren't
sure about. Piping Rock has a yellow/orange georengii that is
beautiful. Sadly, it grows too cool for my greenhouse conditions...damn!
The roots on Four Seasons are fandamntastic.

@angela: I'm curious. How do you get Potter out of mrhappyrotter? His real name? (My maiden name is Potter -- why I'm so curious).

I have no idea, Dot. I suppose I like the mental image of a happy potter.
I'm old and I think I see what I want to see. Perhaps he should change his
screen name to HappyPotter...sounds good to me.

My username is a spoonerism, by accident, not by design. However, MrHarryPotter or similar is a common enough and understandable misread that I normally don't notice much when people do it. My real name is like that as well, so I suppose a lifetime of people misspelling and/or mispronouncing my name has desensitized my brain to it. I'm also pretty laid back, so....

And Abax, now that you've taken the Piping Rock plunge, you might be receiving one of their beautiful sales catalogs in the mail some time soon.

As for me, I'm going to sit back for at least a couple of weeks and figure out what my last big online orchid spending spree is going to be. I figure I have until at least the first or second week of October before shipping temps start becoming more of a concern. Piping Rock does has a number of paphs and/or phrags I'd like to get, so if I go that route, I'll throw a goeringii in the order for sure. Those miniature Chinese cymbidium species sure are hard to resist.
