Oh hello there cutiepie! :smitten:
Damn... I like Tolumnias as well. Isn't it enough that you guys make me buy Paphs and Phrags? Do you have to get me into other genera, too? :sob:
I have a little keiki that got severely decimated this summer by flat mites + neglect + wrong substrate. I still don't know if it's going to make it or not; it's soon down to only two leaves. :sob: If it doesn't make it, I might get another one later (they're very small after all), but this time, I'll buy a BS one. No more fragile keikis in the hands of this Neo...Vanda falcata noob.Of course... and you must grow Neofinetia falcata too! Ooops... Vanda falcatat!
And Neos are considered 'easy'. The funny thing is, I've almost managed to kill mine by keeping it too dry and I usually over water everything. I love how consistent I am.Great looking plant an dblooms.
Tolumnia are easier than Neofinitia in my opinion, but Neos are fragrant!
Impressive plant. One of the increasingly common unregistered Tolumnia hybrids, but it has great color, and you obviously grow it well.

I think the general consensus is that Neos are easy to grow, so what can I say. It takes a special kind of talent to kill easy orchids and I have that talent in spades. :rollhappy:I think Tolumnia and Neofinetia are 2 genus easy to grow, but since Tolus prefer warmer conditions than Neofs, the first are easier to grow in a living room.
It is registeredoke:
Oops... I used up my one allowed mistake for the year on day 1. Now I need to be perfect for 364.
Thank you for your answer.2 of my Neofs (ooops Vanda falcata...) did not want to make new roots too... a pity. I putted them in a plastic bag, on a heating pad. They are in Sphagnum moss like all my Neofs (oops...). They grew since the last 2 months... They look better, but they are still small. One plant had yellow leaves. The foliage is now "normal green".
A very good grower from Los Angeles also told me she has the same problem for some small plants. And she believe that the only time to divide a Neof. (oops again!!!) is when it is in its dormancy.
I will now sit and feel stupid for a while,
I'm done feeling stupid now. :rollhappy:Please don't do that !!!! It has been a pleasure to discuss with you oke:
