This is my faithful 'Magnifico' x sib. I don't think this blooming is as flat as it normally is but, oh well, still not too shabby!

It's not, I'm too challenged to know how to photoshop it!
It's pretty accurate, do you think the pic is underexposed?
Maybe a little underexposed, but not too bad.
Actually, Photoshop is great for correcting the color errors from digital cameras.
What color is the area just above the staminode shield, where the petals attach?

Green with that mid white streak. I lightened to photo a bit, it's a black back drop & now it's looking a little smoky to me.

I thought so. In the first photo, the "white" is green, indicating a color imbalance as well as a little underexposure.

I agree. Contrast is very important to keep it from looking smoky or foggy. Another thing one can do with Photoshop, and probably other image-editing software.

It must be a very, very nice one!!! (but I would shoot this bloom with much more light, and maybe not the dark background, to get the real beauty of these colors) Jean

What's the flower span Rose? Looks like a keeper!!
13cm. It's a keeper!
:rollhappy: I tried selling it on ebay several years ago, I wasn't appreciating it at that time. It was in bloom & I wanted $17.95, no one bid on it! Antec emailed me, thought it was quite nice and if it had been a division 'Magnifico' they would have wanted it.

I have tried a light background, I didn't like it, the colors are more accurate with a dark one. The colors are rich in comparison to others I've seen.

Not too shabby indeed, Rose. You seem to have a very good orchid collection.:p
