Hello to all, I wanted to know from some expert if to use this water of the tap in order to cultivate the paphs.

temperature 13°C
free residual chlorine mg/l 0,23
turbidity NTU 0,10
ph 7,73
residual fixed 180° 249 mg/l
alkalinity 154 mg/l
hardness total °F 20
ammonia mg/l <0,05
nitrites mg/l <0,02
nitrates mg/l 7,20
chlorides mg/l 4,00
phosphates mg/l< 0,1
calcium mg/l 52
magnesium mg/l 18
potassium mg/l 0,01
sodium mg/l 4,80
organic carbon total mg/l 0,220
conductivity µS/cm 356

Thanks to all and excused for l' English….:D

Calculated hardness is ~ 325 as mg/L CaCO3
Alkalinity of 150 and conductivity >300.

This is a fairly hard salty water, and not that different from my well water.

If you want to do what I do, I would cut (dilute) this water 10:1 with distilled/RO/or rain water.

Ok thanks, if I have not understood badly I would have to use 1 Lt of this water with 10 Lt of water rain.

Judging from the numbers you have provided, I would say your paphs would be much happier with pure water to which you have added appropriate fertilizers and minor nutrients. Poor quality water will make you less successful at growing the Paphs than you otherwise might be.

Yes.

Darrin offers another strategy of starting with pure (distilled or RO) and then adding back some fertilizer.

I used to use a similar strategy using purified lab water for general irrigation and misting 6 of 7 weekdays, and then fertilizing with MSU one day a week.

I started getting much better results when I added back 10% of my well water into the pure water for the 6 days, and then still fertilizing on day 7.

I've also boosted the magnesium content with Epsom salts whenever its sunny.

I find that if I were to add back a fertilizer (except at very low rates) for daily watering (probably like hydro or semihydroponic methods) then I get too much Nitrogen and Potassium not adequately offset with Ca and Mg.

Thanks for the answers, in Italy RSU are not found, to acquire it USA are too much expensive, I use soluble classic 20-20-20 and 2 fertilizing in spring with 30-10-10 fertilizing every 15 days 0,5 gr /lt.
Every 2 months epsom salts and nitrate calcium.
With pure water he tans me every 7 days or always tans to lowlands doses to me?
