I like it. La Vingtaine is the top phrag on my wishlist. I'll hopefully have one, once the temps warm up enough for shipping.

The color on yours is fantastic.
 
Yes! For one thing, they rotate upward at an angle with the pouch and dorsal and although the color is nice, the smoothness is lacking. I have seen better examples of this species on this forum. There is another bud coming up so it may turn out better. Then again, it's the first flower and subsequent flowerings msy provide better flowers as the plant gets stronger..

I started to type something about the smoothness of the petals but couldn't word it without sounding ugly.LOL As for improving, my Suzanne Decker is following the same pattern you just described, with each flower there is improvement.
 
As it turns out, my Suzanne Decker is about to flower with a very big bud opening now. It flowered last year while I was in hospital for kidney stones and by the time I got back and saw it, half of the flower had faded away. The next bud dropped as if too heavy and the third one dried out. I should know in the coming days what the flower really looks like. First impression is it's going to be a dark one.
