I had posted a picture of this awarded Phrag. Red Wing a few weeks ago, but the next flower opened up, and I think it actually looks even better than when it got awarded, so I thought I would share a picture. Red Wing is Phrag. Robert C. Silich x besseae.
I agree, they have all been very similar in color and shape, and yes we did bloom some that were even better than 'Inferno' We are hoping to get 12 of them to all bloom together at the same time to submit them for a possible AQ.
AQ (Award of Quality):
Awarded once to a cross exhibited by a single individual as a group of not less than 12 plants or inflorescences of different clones of a hybrid or cultivated species. At least one of the inflorescences must receive a flower quality award and the overall quality of the group must be an improvement over the former type.
