These are the same group originated from Taiwan Hung Shen breeding. I got these at Redland. These grew well but skipped flowering last year. They are root bound in 5.5 inch pot. Next step is to move them to 7.0 inch pot. I was told that I need to replace all potting mix. What a pain. I was just going to fill in more bark. Anyway I won't keep all of these. I too like the second flower for now It's darker and will have four flowers.

Very nice color. #2 has a nice form and will even be better as the flower matures. Hoping the petals will grow longer to balance the size of the petals.

Very good growing. Congrats!!!!!

I always love the big, red nose on the darker roths. You've
got the Magic Touch. Who said you needed to completely
remove all the old potting medium? The growing medium
looks fine to me. The old stuff will fall off when you pot up anyway and you can add new medium. Better yet
switch to Orchiata and you won't have to do all that repotting all the time.

Thank you all

Angela - I'm using Orchiata bark
I was told by a local Paph grower that with time Orchiata will sour and plants will go downhill. I need to add a bit Dolomites to raise PH.
I don't like to repot The most I would do is drop it into another large pot.
We will see. Time will tell. I do like big plants.

The dark clone is wonderful. Amazing looking plants as well.

Personally I would replace all the mix. I have only had bad experiences when dropping a pot straight into a bigger pot.

All Roths are beautiful-- I like them all.

Orchiata goes sour!!! I haven't found this but I must admit it doesn't look as good as it used to --- my last lot was full of white splinters of wood.

OMG. This one is even darker. Paph rothschildium is like Phal gigantea. Very addictive.

I'm not a professional photographer. These are just captured by my iPhone 6 Plus. Light color is what the phone sees this sunny morning.
