So this is a lueddemanniana escura ('Boa Vista' x 'Labelo Cheio'), from the Z-2598 cross, I purchased as a seedling in 2021 from AWZ Orquidea in Brazil. It flowered for the first time in April 2024, with 2 blooms.
Then it flowered again in July 2024 with 3 blooms.
And again this December 2024 with 3 blooms (this time the flowers were a bit deformed since the buds developed against the leave.)
Other than its easiness to bloom, the intense coloration of the flower and its exhilarating perfume, make this specie/clone a very desirable plant. Since having success with this specie, I ordered about 18 other crosses from AWZ . Most likely I will fill my tropical orchard with those!
Cheers,
Math
