In Tigard to this species it is not all that unusual to have 2 buds on 1 spike.

I’m not 100% sure BUT I believe that tag is from Newmans Orchids out of Hawaii. However, I’m thinking the breeding is from Sam at Orchid Inn.

I believe that my plant originated from Lee and Company. Some were only a single growth while others had up to 3 growths. Yes, measured tip to tip.

I didn’t include a photo as even though my new acquisition is growing in a 4 inch pot it is only a 3 growth plant with leaf spans of 4 to 6 inches. Just trying to learn a little about this species.

Is that Oceanside/Sunsetvalley breeding?

It is my understanding that Paph wilhelminae can bloom on very small growths. Am I correct in my assumption and if so at what leaf span and even how many growths? Anyone here have experience blooming these guys? I ask because I just got home from helping Oceanside Orchids sell at the Amherst...

Tom, I know that you are not asking me but my 4 growth charleworthii has a 12 inch leaf span on the current in flower growth. My plant has 4 total growths, and one of those growths also has a bud on the way. They get larger than one would think.

Charles, years ago I did a few wholesale orders from Hilo however I don’t believe they are currently taking on new customers.They used to offer a few choice plants on eBay at this time of year but now don’t or if they do they are few and far between.
