    Gratrixianum two different types

One on the right is a more robust plant with longer leaves but otherwise very similar. Perhaps I don't use the correct terminology by referring to two different types, I was just referring to the interesting flower variation between two plants of the same species purchased more than 10 years apart.

    Malipoense

Thank you all for the kind words. The photo is taken in my dining room / conservatory but this plant lives in the greenhouse over Winter where it is a few degrees cooler down to 14 degC. Potting medium contains sphagnum which some of the parvis seem to enjoy.

Welcome and good luck with your Lady Isobel and Roth! Cattleyas in basket is a good idea, I grow them in hanging baskets with lots of airflow. It's a matter of experimenting and finding the best approach for your conditions.

Thanks for that info. I did notice that they often have some nice alba paphs in stock, this explains it! I also got a concolor there and it is a very nice little multi-growth plant with 3 or 4 growth leads. That concolor might have cost a little more but if you consider how long it takes to grow...

    Paph. platyphyllum 'Franklin's Tower' FCC/AOS

Stunning! Was that 5 years from seedling? I got a seedling last year and it is growing fast, though there are so many mislabelled plants going around I am a bit sceptical if I have the real one.

    fairreanum

I got it from Großräschener Orchideen in Germany but there was no indication of the parentage.
