    Paph. stonei “Prince” x “Queen”

Actually, I expect 5 flowers this time as this clone grows to a huge clump already (with LS over 80 for a matured growth). Same as my other multis, they generally produces one flower less per spike as compared with last year. Same situation at Taiwan also and don’t know what are the reasons.

I can finally grow my stonei in big clumps

Sorry for misunderstand your question. I don’t know why does it happens but I realize the division from other growers in Taiwan also has the same problem on the leaves. I suppose it to be normal for that clone.

I can finally grow my stonei in big clumps

If you place the plant near the maximum light intensity that it can accept, the leaves will become hard and the growth will be in “V-shape”. However, placing your plants under high light intensity will cause sun burn of the leave tip easily. In addition, high light intensity also contributes...

I can finally grow my stonei in big clumps

Yes, I am happy with the condition of them. I can also grow the laevigatum “in charm” division from 2-3 growths to a huge clump in 5 years. Here is the photo. The leaves are wide and hard.

I can finally grow my stonei in big clumps

I remember there is a slippertalk member, paphioman (if I remember correctly) showed his very huge stonei flowered every year. I was attracted by his plant and tried to touch on this species few years ago. After trial and error, I can finally grow my stonei in a big clump. Happy to see their...

    Yang-Ji orchids?

I had already inform the post owner yesterday that I had made a typo on the garden’s name. It should be Chouyi Orchids Nursery owned by Mr. Tsai (蔡欣君).

    Yang-Ji orchids?

The top sanderianums in Taiwan is not owned by Yang ji, find Choyyi if you wish to have good sanderianum seedlings. But be careful of his sharp knife that will kill your wallet. Haha!

    papilio-laoticus

I do have cultivating some for a moment. Of course they come from the nature and they are not that big! I had seen many times fro Taobao china that the plants selling are medium to small in size, one third as compared with the plant shown in photo. I had acquired a few half years ago and the...

    Yang-Ji orchids?

I do recommend you NOT to place any orders from Yang Ji as he is not a honest man, he is a big cheater!! He is famous in Taiwan and Hong Kong for selling under sized plants to overseas buyers (such as dispatching middle seedlings for a NBS order). I had an extremely painful experience on...

The upper one with tall spike is that plant.

Another round of guess the spike

The result proofs my profession on growing multi florals🤪. When I had the first glance on the tree, I pretty sure that it is an adductum.

    Paphiopedilum parishii #2

The flowers are nice but the plant is very weak in my opinion. Cut the spike, reduce the light intensity and feed more fertilizers to save this good tree. A healthy Parishii should be in dark green shiny leaves, at least my Parishiis are like that.

    Paph. randsii

This is the first bloom for a seedling made by Mr. Tsai of Choiyi. A tiny single growth plant produces 3 flowers. It is always lovely to see a blooming randsii neglecting its flower quality, at least for me.
